It had the square receiver that was a trademark of all early Winchester semiautomatic rifles. Introduced in 1933, the Model 63 was the first semiauto rifle offered by Winchester chambered for the standard. All internal parts move and function as they should, but this rifle has not been test fired. Three of the four scope mounting holes are plugged with screws. the receiver was drilled and tapped on the left side at some point, for a side mounted scope. The walnut furniture is in good condition (given the age) with only a couple of minor scratches but no crack or splits. The forearm end-cap and the buttplate have some petina. ![]() This rifle has approximately 60%-70% of the original bluing left with some minor surface rust on the receiver and barrel exterior. ![]() This rifle came in to be sold on consignment.
